• Chaga Mushroom, Dried

Chaga “mushrooms” are actually bizarre looking cankers that attack living trees, most commonly birch, from where it extracts and produces Betulin, the active compound known for its cancer fighting properties. Chaga is bitter and can be powdered or crushed into a fine dust, then steeped like tea or brewed into coffee. Tradd likes to add this mushroom to his favorite homebrew recipes that call for a brown ale or porter.
