Garden Giant Mushroom & Scrambled Egg Toast
From the garden to the breakfast table!
Sometimes the simplest meals are the most delicious. Freshly harvested Garden Giant mushrooms, sautéed in butter and herbs, served over fluffy scrambled eggs on crispy toasted bread. That’s all it takes to make a breakfast worth getting out of bed for!
Meet the Garden Giant Mushroom

The Garden Giant (Stropharia rugosoannulata), also known as Wine Cap or King Stropharia, is one of our favorite mushrooms to grow outdoors.
These beautiful burgundy-capped mushrooms thrive in hardwood woodchip beds, breaking down organic matter as they grow. They’re wonderful additions to vegetable gardens, garden pathways, and permaculture systems.
And the best part? They’re edible, delicious, and surprisingly easy to cultivate!
Garden Giants have a mild, earthy flavor and a satisfying, meaty texture. They hold up beautifully when sautéed, making them an excellent addition to breakfast dishes like this one.
